A pixel tower defense game for Android

Defend the road. Hunt what you bind.

Tower defense with roguelike runs, and an idle Hunt that keeps earning while the game is closed.

Free on Android. Coming to Google Play.

A forest road in Orraveld. A deer runs down it past four rune stones, and the fire rune hits it.
Antler Reach, stage 1

One road. Three ways to play.

Orraveld mixes three kinds of game, and each one feeds the next.

  1. Tower defense

    Hold the road.

Herds run down a winding road toward the Archive. Set runes on the stones beside it, and each one strikes whatever comes in range. Every kill pays Mana: spend it to empower the runes doing the work, up to ten steps each.

A fire rune empowered on the road, its reach shown as a ring, with its damage and effect listed below.
  2. Roguelike

Every fight is a fresh run.

You start each stage with your runes and nothing else. Every third herd you stop, the Archive sends aid: pick one of three, like 50 more Mana or wind runes dealing 15% more damage, and it lasts until the run ends. Lose, and you still keep the Essence you earned.

The Archive sends aid: three cards to choose from, Gale-borne, Mana Surge and Essence Tide, each showing what it changes.
  3. Idle

    Your runes keep hunting.

Bring down a realm's Sovereign and it sleeps in the walled field behind the Archive. Set runes around it once, and they fight it while the game is closed, for up to eight hours. Come back to Hunt Tokens.

The Hunting Ground: the Boar Sovereign in a walled field, four runes around it, Hunt Tokens counting up.

Each one feeds the next.

A realm takes a few sittings. Here is what one of them gives you.

  1. 1

    Defend a realm

Every herd you stop pays Essence, win or lose.

  2. 2

    Bind its Sovereign

Its endless road opens, and it moves into the Hunting Ground.

  3. 3

    Hunt it

Your runes earn Hunt Tokens, even overnight.

  4. 4

    Rank your runes up

Essence and Tokens make them strong enough for the next realm.

84 runes. Some you only find by trying.

Nine elements, each with its own runes. Put two of different elements on the Forge's anvil: some pairs make a combination that fights with both. Nobody tells you which.

The Forge: two empty slots and a Try button above nine combinations still to be found.
The realms: Antler Reach and Wolf Hollow bound, Bearfold Ridge still to win.

The runes are gone.

For three hundred years, rune stones along Orraveld's roads kept the great beasts asleep. This spring someone cut the runes out.

Each realm's Sovereign woke and drives its herd down the old roads to the Archive, where the last runes still glow. You are the Archive's Warden. Five realms stand between you and finding out who did it.

A few things you might be wondering.
